The Tango uses sensor redundancy, reducing the likelihood of the monitor’s inability to detect gas. Below is a chart that shows the monitor failure rate of a single sensor monitor versus a monitor with DualSense Technology when bump tested daily or not bump tested at all. In either case, the Tango elevates the level of safety regardless of the customer’s current bump test policy.
Single-Sensor DualSense Technology
Yes. A worker will still be protected and can continue working in the field if the sensor fails. Because of sensor redundancy, if a sensor were to fail in the field, the monitor will still continue to operate normally. In addition, if a sensor fails a calibration or a zero fault has occurred, Tango will operate the same as any other single-sensor monitor would.
Yes. Sensors are changeable, allowing the user to convert the Tango from one gas type to another.
The sensors are interchangeable. If a user switches a sensor, the monitor will immediately begin detecting the new configuration.
The Ventis MX4 offers sensor and configuration options for a number of industries and applications, making it an efficient choice for both personal gas detection and confined space entries. The Ventis MX4 supports the following gas sensors: LEL (methane), LEL (pentane), CO, H2S, O2, CO/H2 low, SO2, and NO2.
If an inexpensive or “disposable” monitor will need to be replaced every year or two, think of the long-term cost when replacing these monitors. With the Ventis MX4, you can upgrade firmware, replace batteries and sensors, and access other service features that extend the monitor’s lifespan.
If you need both pumped and non-pumped functionality, buying one monitor that can do both is often more cost effective and reduces the number of monitors your workers carry.
Not all gas detectors are created equal, and warranty coverage reflects that. Shorter warranties indicate that the monitor might have a shorter lifespan. The Ventis MX4 comes with a four-year warranty for the monitor and standard four-gas sensors.
The Ventis Pro5 is ideal for both personal monitoring and confined space entries thanks to the available pump options. It uses wireless connectivity to add an extra layer of protection and visibility to an already robust multi-gas detector.
Using a five-gas monitor advances the level of detection, giving you better awareness of the gas hazards around you. The Ventis Pro5 is, of course, capable of detecting even more gases than the Ventis MX4 and has DualSense™ capabilities.
Adding real-time monitoring to your gas detection program gives you the insights you need to act fast in emergency situations. And if you already have in-plant wi-fi, you can add live monitoring with minimal investment. All you need is a wi-fi connection and a Ventis Pro5 Multi-Gas Monitor to instantly transmit data to iNet® Now Live Monitoring. Add iAssign® Technology, and all live alerts will also include the worker’s name and location.
