The AFU is an Airline Filter Unit designed to remove dirt particles, water and oil from a breathable air supply for use with compressed-air airline breathing apparatus.

AFU is available in two sizes, dependant upon the maximum flow-rate required:

  • AFU 2 has a maximum flow capacity of 13 litres per second (28 cubic feet per minute) at 7 Bar G (100 psi G).
  • AFU 4 has a maximum flow capacity of 25 litres per second (53 cubic feet per minute) at 7 Bar G (100 psi ).
